Which Raspberry Pi board versions are compatible with VMX-rtk?

  • Raspberry Pi 4 Model B (NOTE:  Requires VMX-RTK version 2.1 or higher)
  • Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+
  • Raspberry Pi 3 Model B
  • Raspberry Pi 2 Model B
  • Raspberry Pi Zero/W
  • Raspberry Pi Zero

Can VMX-rtk be used with a non-Raspberry Pi Linux platform like the NVIDIA Jetson?

The preinstalled version of VMX-rtk is specifically for Raspberry Pi – it runs on the Raspbian Buster operating system. And the VMX-pi components are only designed to run on the Raspberry Pi (Raspbian) Linux operating system.

However, excluding the VMX-pi components you can use the open-source scripts to create a VMX-rtk image yourself. Note that the process of creating and building this image can take up to 24 hours depending upon your internet connection speed and the CPU performance of your target Linux platform.

Can VMX-rtk be used the WPI GRIP Tool?

Yes, VMX-rtk is designed to work together with GRIP. Currently, GRIP must be run on a separate computer, and then the GRIP pipeline should be exported to the Raspberry Pi.
